Go Cat

Winner

January 2009

If you live in the UK I have no doubt at all that you've already heard of Go-Cat!

Staying on topic with this months Mews-letter, Go-Cat are promoting their new range of dry cat food just for Indoor cats! You can even order yourself (or your cat) a free 50g sample and get 50p off your first purchase!

The site is nicely designed and easy to use, with a good range of different activities to keep you interested.

There is a great section of the site called ‘Indoor cat advice' including tips from other indoor cat owners on how to keep your cat amused, and the Go-Cat Fun section has a couple of games in it which kept me amused, so it's a win-win with this site.

You will need to register to play the games, but registration is simple and quick. You'll have to be very good to make it onto the scoreboard, I thought I did quite well until I saw the top 20!

Overall, I thought this site was very well made and well worth a visit for anyone interested in cats.

Catsinfo

Winner

February 2009

Unlike many of our WSOTM candidates, there is no particular niche approach to this month's winner, it has just been made by someone who clearly loves cats and wanted to make a comprehensive resource covering all aspects - and what a great job she has done!

It covers all aspects of cats, cat ownership, breeding, cat care, photos, quotes and more. It's nicely designed, easy on the eye and very easy to navigate to exactly where you want to go.

My favourite part is the cat Breed Profiles section, which has a list of all the popular and many less popular breeds. An impressive number of these listings have further pages dedicated to detailed descriptions and photos of the breed, which I can only imagine must have taken a lot of time and effort to compile.

In summary, I really enjoyed visiting this site and will definitely spend some more time there.

Cat Problems Resolved

Winner

March 2009

This month's WSOTM is a blog by cat lover Kathy Robinson, who deals with (as the title suggests) problems you or your cat may have and how to resolve them. (Kathy is also the author of the article above)

Upon arriving at the site you will see snippets of the latest posts from Kathy, each of which links to the full post detailing either issues that Kathy thinks are common or problems her readers have asked her for solutions to.

The writing is clear and easy to understand and I found the posts engaging and informative, even when dealing with issues I'm already well versed in.

There's not many sections to this site, but that's in no way a criticism and in fact seems to be a benefit as it remains immensely focused and on topic.

Overall, this is and excellent resource and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone interested in cats.
